About Cuisine Vivante

Published by healthyfran under Uncategorized

It is now becoming widely accepted that food can play a major part in the healing process of any health condition or disease on a physical, mental, spiritual and emotional level.

‘Let thy food be thy medicine and thy, medicine be thy food.’

Hippocrates (460-377 B.C.)

International chef and author Jane Sen and International speaker and Nutritional Therapist Fran Stockley have lived this philosophy and together have over 30 years of experience in the practice of nutritional healing with food.

Cuisine Vivante (or living food) was born from observing a real thirst for education and knowledge from clients and the general public.

‘It is not enough just to know how to cook any more, people really want to know WHY they should cook certain foods, in a certain way, with a certain mentality…and quite rightly so, that is why Cuisine Vivante was created.’

A unique approach…

This approach to a cooking workshop is the first of its kind in the country! Not only can you watch, prepare and taste the food, you will also be educated on why these types of food may be beneficial and how they will help your unique condition.

Jane Sen

As a former head chef of the acclaimed Bristol Cancer Centre (now the Penny Brohn Cancer Care) Jane Sen has seen first hand how when people begin to eat good quality nourishing food that has been prepared with love and fun, they can feel so much better and begin healing their health condition.

‘I saw and still see that people are confused around which foods to eat, how to prepare and combine food and they question their ability to do it…I have collaborated with Fran to provide a solution that is simple to follow, educational and fun.’

Fran Stockley

As a nutritional therapist and support tutor at the Nutritional Healing Foundation Fran sees that even those people who have devoted much of their lives to the study of nutritional healing still need inspiration, guidance and fresh ideas to keep themselves well and pass on to their clients.

‘In my experience there is a huge education gap….when it comes to preparing a nourishing meal for ourselves and the family most of us simply don’t know where to start! It is one thing to read a recipe…it is another to actually prepare it! Jane and I want to re instil a confidence and passion for food and its potential to heal.’
